Lonely Planet Review

Quotes Adjacent to Piazza della Repubblica, this small friendly hotel has a family atmosphere and is excellent value for the price. While it's simple accommodation, all rooms have their own bathroom and the usual necessities.

While Piazza della Repubblica has a couple of heavy-hitting five-stars, this petite two-star is one of the best deals in Milan for the price range. Up on the first floor on Viale Vittorio Veneto, there's a warm welcome, an espresso machine, and decent, clean rooms. The single rooms are the usual monastic Milano style (small), so if you're planning on staying a few days, it's better to get a larger room. Decorated in an unadorned fashion, doubles are reasonably spacious, and there's one triple. Bathrooms are spotless and details like air-con, hairdryer and satellite TV help sweeten the deal. While it might not appear to be in such a great position, there are fantastic bars a short walk away and Stazione Centrale is less than a kilometre away.

Also ordinary city buses (n. 73) run from Linate to the centre (Piazza San Babila). Author Tip

Walk west along Bastioni di Porta Nuova and you'll soon arrive at the shopping of Corso Como. For something more relaxing head in the other direction and take a stroll through the lovely Giardini Pubblici (public gardens). If you're not heavily laden when you arrive you could walk from Stazione Centrale to the hotel.
