If you don't put too much store by the 'palace' in the name, you won't be disappointed by this cheap and cheerful holiday hotel. Situated on a sandy beach (which most of the rooms overlook), the hotel has a relaxed beach-babe atmosphere despite its popularity with fully clothed local families.

With plenty of light-hearted entertainment on-site, this is a good family option, especially as a retreat from the big-city bustle. A small menagerie and a resident pony may interest the youngsters, as may with the adjoining fun-park. Mum and Dad can find some peace and quiet on the sandy beach, though at weekends the sands are rocking with volleyball and ad hoc cartwheels, and the lagoon is lifted a foot higher in the wake of cruising jet-skis. Regardless of the surrounding activity, the hotel boasts a wonderful lagoon-side position which can be enjoyed from the balcony of many of the rooms or from the terrace cafe. An eclectic mixture of restaurants offers Korean, Japanese, Chinese and international cuisine, if not exactly of superior quality then at least at affordable prices.
