Address: Seagrape dve, West side , Ambergris caye , Belize
Out on the residential side of the island, this has by far the cheapest single rooms in town. It's a simple place, lacking in nearly every conceivable comfort, but the friendly vibe more than makes up for that. The rooms are set on the second floor of a new wooden building. The unpainted planks give the place a bit of a logging camp feel, but the beds are firm and the place is kept spotless. The shared cold-water bathrooms are divided into men's and women's; they're nothing flash, but they do the job. Downstairs there's a friendly little pool hall/bar that's got a loyal clientele of expats from all over the island. If all that sounds a bit austere, there are a couple of double rooms with air-con, private bathroom and cable TV which are the most reasonably priced on the island for that type of room.

Out on the western edge of the island, this is the place to be for catching the sunset. Once you're done with that, it's a short walk to Ali Baba, where you'll find surprisingly good Middle Eastern food such as felafel and kofta.
