Lonely Planet Review
The Conrad offers an impressive cocktail of chic style and hi-tech comfort, a seamless choice for mixing business and pleasure. The Bangkok adventure of the Conrad empire, it occupies a prime position on Wireless Road near 'Embassy Row'.
You will be ushered down wide curving hallways to your impeccably modern room with its clean lines wrapped in warming wood and silk. Slick international business travellers mill about the lobby, which lends itself to sealed deals and mysterious rendezvous. They're coaxed with broadband Internet and top audio/video equipment, wooed by executive privileges (from shirt pressing to cigar lounges) and generally persuaded by the utter professionalism of the place. The bathrooms, especially those with city views, are beautiful. 'Sexy,' corrects a staff member, 'the bathrooms are sexy.' It's hard not to agree when faced with deep-soak tubs and 'deluge' showers. The staff, having attended the London school of communications, are totally tuned in. Also on the premises are a hip club and the swish Diplomat bar that have so far been a hit.
