Lonely Planet Review
Among skytrains and skyscrapers, megahotels and the multiplex malls, this small inn is an oasis of home-style modesty and comfort. You are assured a warm welcome and great value for money just a few steps from the skytrain.
Down a quiet alley in the heart of Chitlom, this small concrete structure conceals a cosy lobby with the feeling of an elegant Thai home. The traditional decor is tasteful but unfussy, with parquet floors, creamy fabrics and soft lamps in the rooms. After a long day of cultural and commercial endeavours you can make yourself a cup of tea in your room, then lie on your huge bed and watch flatscreen cable TV. Bathrooms have showers only, no baths. While the design is nothing spectacular, the common drawbacks of similarly priced mid-range hotels - such as musty smells, dodgy tiling and thin walls - are notably absent from this clean, soundproof find. The staff are really sweet and go to great lengths to please and provide for customers. Given the prime position close to shops, business and transport this is very good value. There are only 27 rooms so advanced bookings are recommended.
