Lonely Planet Review
You get a homestyle stay in this simple house of wood and exposed bricks. It's simple but tranquil, sharing the quiet soi with Thai families and a handful of other guesthouses. Rooms are airy with wood-panelled walls and hardwood floors. It's a good choice if you'd like some peace and quiet while remaining a short distance from the Khao San area.
An air-con room will include a relatively good bathroom, and most rooms have windows with a decent view. The accommodation is basic but if you favour light and wood over tiles and concrete, this place will appeal to you. The simple, pleasant restaurant downstairs serves Thai and Western food, including many vegetarian dishes. They also offer 'Wat Pho trained' massage. The guesthouse is situated in a quiet street near the river. The patiently persistent tuk-tuk drivers who mill out the front will happily whiz you down to the Internet cafes and traveller-geared stalls of the Khao San district. You can also walk to nearby Thewet pier and catch a ferry to Pra Athit (Banglamphu) or further down to sites like the Grand Palace.
