Lonely Planet Review
Stereotypes about Switzerland all come true in regards to this cosy hotel. It is small, clean, efficient, peaceful and uneventful. While tasteful in design and European in style, it sets itself apart from the others. Strategically positioned, it is safe, eminently comfortable and excellent for business people and bankers.
There is a total lack of pizzazz about the place, but it is professionally run, environmentally friendly and infinitely trustworthy. Everyone is polite and you get to eat fondue there. The analogy can perhaps take a rest now but the Swiss Lodge is famous for providing four-star facilities and service while remaining modest in size and sober in design. The place is warm and personable, the staff are excellent and the focus is on top notch business facilities. The rooms are understatedly elegant, soundproof and fully equipped (including high-speed wireless broadband Internet). There's also a pool with sundeck and a library. Everything feels reassuringly brand new and high-quality. If you need some extra space there are extremely well-appointed suites including the new, Thai-style 'Elephant room' which is very plush and includes a Jacuzzi. Room rates include a quality buffet breakfast.
