Lonely Planet Review

You've bought the shoes, now stay in the hotel. This is a hip place with splendid rooms and a commitment to comfort and extensive facilities, among the highlights of which are the free and bountiful all-day food options and a roof terrace with unrivalled views over the rooftops of El Raval.

The hotel is founded on the simple principle of keeping separate the areas where you sleep and the areas where you unwind. Every room has divinely comfortable beds and a designer bathroom complete with Camper slippers and bathrobes. They each have views out onto the vertical terrace with its 117 cascading plants. The room's stylish interior blends the Camper look with another cutting-edge brand name - every furnishing is courtesy of Vinçon. And then here's the unwinding part - across the corridor from every room is a separate but private sitting room with a comfy sofa, a state-of-the-art TV, a balcony overlooking the street and, the pièce de résistance, a hammock for that long, lazy afternoon. The buffet breakfast yields seamlessly into a buffet lunch, which you can enjoy in the lobby as you peruse the Camper merchandise on sale.

Author Tip

Have a Camper day. While you could easily spend your whole day without leaving the hotel, head out for the Camper store or the macrobiotic restaurant which are both just around the corner (ask the staff for directions). If you want to range further, why not take a (free) packed lunch and explore the city with your specially designed, wooden Camper bicycle.

Curious Fact

This hotel is Camper's first foray into the hotel business and, according to hotel staff, it's unlikely to be the last so enjoy the fact that you're among the first to experience what could be an international phenomenon.
