Lonely Planet Review
Its privileged position opposite the cathedral lends this hotel a special grace. A range of rooms, from modest singles to a spacious suite, offers quiet elegance that varies from modern colours and hardwood floors to classic carpeted rooms. The rooms on the top floor are outstanding, largely due to terraces with almost unparalleled cathedral views.
The rooms, all renovated, are designed with high levels of comfort in mind. They are perfectly proportioned, and some boast eclectic, cheerful colour schemes. The public areas, more than the rooms, speak of the grandeur of this distinguished old Barcelona building, and the location doesn't get any better. The rooms with a view come at a price in more ways than one - they're more expensive than those at the back and, as this is one of Barcelona's most popular tourist areas, noise can be a problem. The flip side, obviously, is the chance to enjoy some of the best views in Barcelona.
