Lonely Planet Review
This hotel is spread over two handsome early modernista buildings and has a handy location on a quiet street sandwiched between the old and new quarters. The foyer and stairways are original, while the rest of the interior has been completely renovated.
They get lots of return visitors here. Perhaps it's because of the bathrooms, some of which have mini jacuzzis and all of which are marble-tiled. Or perhaps it's the fact that, although many top-notch Barcelona hotels have swimming pools and sun lounges, the one here is big enough to do your laps. Or maybe it's the stained-glass windows in the lobby and some public spaces. Another reason could be the fact that most of the rooms look out either onto the street or a massive internal patio, and are therefore filled with light. Whatever the reason, the comfortable modern rooms, generous buffet breakfasts and accessible staff are only a small part of this fine hotel's appeal.
