Lonely Planet Review
An old-style elitism pervades this beautiful hotel, which vies for the crown of flashiest in town. It comprises three splendid old buildings that were knocked into one. Rooms are tasteful and comfortable, while the two restaurants are very exclusive and serve high-quality food.
Where other top-end Barcelona hotels have gone for a super-modern aesthetic, the Majèstic remains true to a more classical elegance. Rooms are understated but unmistakably luxurious. No attention to detail is overlooked in the furnishings and the service is similarly first-class; you'll find them anticipating your every whim and even some you wish you'd thought of. Rooms are also among the largest of Barcelona's luxury hotels. With its stunning panoramic views, the rooftop terrace is a great place to pass a summer's evening high above the clamour. The location is also ideal, in the heart of Gaudí territory, and within easy walking distance of La Rambla or La Sagrada Familia.
