Lonely Planet Review
Occupying a beautiful, centuries-old building that backs on to the quiet Plaça de Sant Felip Neri, this stunningly renovated medieval mansion combines historic public areas with cutting-edge rooms of stone and timber. The rooms are large, with plasma screen TVs, soft-tone furnishings and designer bathrooms. Colour schemes and artwork change from room to room.
The overall effect is at once state of the art and rustic. The leafy roof deck is charming and comes with a shower to help you cool off. Alternatively, spend your time in the small and comfy library where you'll find the day's newspapers, designer coffee table tomes and a Sony Vaio computer. There's also a highly regarded gourmet restaurant out the back. It's all typical of a place where attention to detail is as high as you'll find in Barcelona.
