Lonely Planet Review
This is a convivial little spot in a quiet and atmospheric part of the Barri Gòtic. Bright, sunny and simple rooms are well maintained - some have wooden beams in the ceiling - and the staff are obliging and chirpy.
Only a few of the rooms have showers, while others can accommodate groups at a squeeze. After a longish walk to get here, you'll be gasping by the time you've climbed the three steep flights of stairs to reach the pensión. Beds are generally comfortable and, while there are plenty of comings and goings, you don't have the party atmosphere of other hostels. The surrounding streets are also less clamorous than elsewhere in the Barri Gòtic. If you've been on the road for a while and your clothes are in danger of exploring Barcelona without you, the laundry service will be most welcome (not least for your roommates). Fans in most rooms take the edge off the summer heat.
