Lonely Planet Review
The Hyatt look is all over this Beijing branch. It's massive, opulent and, while lacking in distinctive regional touches, it's got the high-end comfort and top-notch service and amenities that high rollers expect. The choice and quality of restaurants is truly impressive, and the location is peerless for shopping and sightseeing.
Standard rooms are modern and bright, but don't really distinguish themselves in any way. Bathrooms have an attractive blond-wood-and-marble design, but suffer from the poor grouting that is the bane of almost every hotel in the city. Only some rooms have a decent view, so make sure to request this if it is a priority. Something that does truly inspire is the hotel's swimming pool with its remarkable tropical beach motif and changing 'virtual sky'. The seven food and beverage options are also sure to keep you lingering, especially Made in China with its sophisticated open kitchen style and northern cuisines. The hotel is in a great location to take advantage of Beijing's best shopping as well as some of its biggest attractions.
