Lonely Planet Review
Neatly tucked away on a not-so-quiet side street, the Angel Hotel is a gem for travellers looking for a centrally located place to party or work. Simple yet attractive, there's a touch of class here not evident in the love motels in the same neighbourhood.
It's not a boutique motel, but it could be. Start with the small but efficient lobby where black is the colour of choice for decor and staff uniforms. Upstairs, none of the rooms are overly spacious but they do have a comfortable feel thanks to the modest but coordinated furnishings with smart choices like the black tile stand-up showers and dark burgundy carpet. The double room should be sufficient for most couples looking to paint the town red, though more space is available in the ondol suite, which has two attractive rooms large enough to continue the party after the bars close.

Author Tip
Podo Cheong is a popular barbecue meat restaurant noted for inexpensive and tasty pork. Exit the hotel and walk straight; the restaurant is about 100m down the street.
