Lonely Planet Review

A great guesthouse experience isn't about facilities, it's about the chance to meet other world travellers in a relaxed and cool setting. For that reason, this may be the best guesthouse in the city. It's not an especially attractive guesthouse, though with a little elbow grease it could look awesome. But it does have one thing that most others do not: an unquantifiable cool factor. Maybe it's the outside rock garden surrounded by a 2m wall which gives the impression of seclusion amid a residential and light-commercial neighbourhood. Or perhaps, it's the cluttered collection of wires leading from the three notebook computers on the kitchen table that suggest guests enjoy a 'make yourself at home' feel in this two-storey home, which has been converted into a place to hang for travellers from Japan, Europe and North America. Or maybe it's the well-spoken owner, Mr Choi, a rather relaxed chap who has been known to join his guests in a late-night party.
