About Dawson City (Canada)
When there was gold in them thar hills, Dawson City was the place to spend it. The city was built at the confluence of the Yukon and Klondike Rivers in the gold rush of 1896. Dawson was known as 'the Paris of the North', and was home to 38,000 people; these days fewer than 2000 call the city home.
