Close to the Night Bazaar, the Suriwongse with 190 large teak-trimmed rooms equipped with satellite TV, IDD phone, minibar and fridge. Hotel facilities include a coffee shop, restaurant, massage centre and meeting rooms.This no-nonsense, upper-mid-range hotel caters mainly to guests who have purchased package trips or discounted stays through travel agencies. Although it wouldn't make anyone's top-ten list for either ambience or luxury, the staff are relatively efficient, and when better places in this price range are full, it's a perfectly serviceable option. Of course the location is very convenient for anyone whose trip is focussed on the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. Despite the spelling, the name of the hotel is pronounced 'Suriwong' (the 'se' is silent). The hotel stands between the Night Bazaar area and the shopping/dining/entertainment area along Th Loi Kroh.
