Lonely Planet Review
Hallelujah! Budget travellers mercifully have somewhere decent to stay close to the airport if their flight departs at a silly hour. This carefree eight-room hotel offers plain but comfortable rooms and its location, in a quiet back lane off the traffic-laden highway, means you can get some shut eye.
With its rooms arranged around a central garden courtyard, this no-nonsense little lodging is a convenient 6km from the international airport. It can be a bit difficult finding the place once you're off the main road - just keep your eyes peeled for the signboards and ask locals to point you in the right direction if your driver seems lost. Note that some signboards have Tarra Guest House (not Hotel) written on them, but it's one and the same (it was known as Guest House in a former life). The hotel's room quality is fair in light of the tariff, with the most expensive rooms being more spacious than the others. All of the rooms are quite sparsely furnished but are otherwise good. Each has smooth tiled floors, a colour TV and reasonable bathrooms. Meals can be arranged with advance notice.
