Lonely Planet Review
It certainly doesn't have the apple-pie ambience that one tends to link with small family-run lodgings - indeed, some former guests have referred to HK Choudhary's as having a downright 'weird' vibe - but if you're a traveller of the no-worries variety, this is one of Connaught Place's cheapest (inhabitable) options.
This warren of a place manages to squeeze in 10 rooms and although these are nothing to wax lyrical about, they're adequately maintained. As is so often the case with Delhi's budget offerings, the rooms here are a mixed bag, with some bigger and brighter than others; apparently rooms 103, 105, 106 and 108 are the most popular, so angle for one of these. The guesthouse can feel a whisker claustrophobic, but fortunately there's a small tree-shaded outdoor terrace. Although the view is rather tragic (smack bang into the wall of the building next door) it's still an agreeable spot to kick back for a wee bit.
