Lonely Planet Review
The Shelton's standard rooms should really be bigger at this price, but if you can't find a bed anywhere else in Paharganj then this is still a decent enough place to drop your backpack. Don't be put off by the rather apathetic staff.
A lure of this, frankly speaking, largely unremarkable hotel is that its rooms - many painted in muted tones of burnt orange and gingerbread brown - are airy, have smooth marble floors and come with neatly tiled bathrooms. The room size can vary - the larger standard rooms come with a balcony. The cheapest rooms have a mirror, small TV and wardrobe, while the most expensive are larger with a more elaborate interior. The Shelton's praiseworthy rooftop restaurant, the Kitchen Café, does particularly satiating breakfasts.
