Lonely Planet Review
It's got about as much charisma as a wet sponge, but this non-descript hotel is exonerated by its very central location and competitively priced rooms. The property also earns points for its close proximity to the tourist office, a prepaid autorickshaw booth (always a godsend) and the popular Janpath (Tibetan) Market.
The hotel (it has no inkling of a guesthouse - despite the name) is at the top of a long flight of stairs and although the small reception area doesn't look too bad, once past it you'll quickly discover that the rooms are screaming for a lick of paint and general spruce-up. Don't make the mistake of opting for one of the more expensive rooms, as despite the higher price tag they actually aren't much better than the cheapest rooms. Most of the rooms are on the dark, dank side - request one with an outside-facing window (be sure you specify 'outside' or else you may get a room with a window facing into a dim corridor) so you get at least some natural light.
