Lonely Planet Review
Laid-back Lhasa House is one of Majnu-ka-Tilla's better budget places to stay and is heartily recommended.
Upon entering Lhasa House you're immediately welcomed by a huge portrait of the Dalai Lama with that serene smile of his that's famous the world over. When it comes to Lhasa's rooms they're basic but fairly well kept and very reasonable if you compare what you get here with most of the capital city's other shoestring offerings. The only real difference between the cheapest and most expensive rooms at Lhasa House is their size - the more you pay, the bigger the room. Most of the rooms come with a bedside table, small wardrobe, mirror and TV. All have an attached bathroom with towels and toilet paper provided. There's a restaurant on the ground floor so thukpa (noodle soup), momos (dumplings) and other Tibetan treats are comfortingly close.
