Lonely Planet Review
Forget Me Not espouses the laid-back Goan susegaard ('no worries') philosophy with a side-order of serious beach appreciation. Amid the coco huts and mud-brick rooms are chillout areas, hanging chairs and a manager who makes a concerted effort to ensure that guests respect his right to enjoy his patch of paradise.
Coco huts have varying sizes and views of the beach, but it is the mud-brick cottages that really make Forget me Not unforgettable. There is a very exotic Mediterranean to the whitewashed walls with blue doors. Flat concrete floors rise up to form bed bases and the white mud-brick interior walls are curved and covered with random artwork and wall hangings. There is a determination for authenticity in the air, and one gets the impression that the rooms would become 'unaffordable' if the manager thought that you might detract in some way from the laid-back atmosphere. Even room prices are determined according to the Goan susegaard philosophy. Forget Me Not is at the north end of Agonda; one of those unspoilt beaches that precariously endures the challenge of remaining so.
