Lonely Planet Review
A crisp, fresh and classy hotel in a sometimes untidy, stale and tacky town, Vista de Colva stands out amongst the competition. Rooms are pleasant and staggered casually around the pool. There's nothing oppressively opulent about Vista de Colva, it's just a very well-tended for and confidently stylish place to stay.
Three hundred metres back from the beach, Vista de Colva is the most pleasant and well-facilitated hotel in Colva. Rooms are laid out around the fish-shaped pool, the tiered layout of the space giving it a far more interesting feel than the standard right-angled block design of so many places. There are 23 cottage-style rooms which offer a nice element of privacy, all of which have the gamut of facilities necessary for a true holiday. The old Portuguese style that the creators were going for when they built Vista de Colva somewhat ironically enhances the new and modern feel. At night the two-storey cottages are resplendently lit around the pool. If you're wanting to stay in Colva without staying in Colva, this is the place to do it. Style is rare in these parts, but Vista de Colva has it in spades.
