Quotes When we stayed here several other guests who had been travelling independently through China rated the Blue Sky as the best hostel in the country. In a place as big as China, that's a big call - but it's hard to disagree.

What we found especially refreshing was the fun, relaxed atmosphere that seems to prevail. For this we can thank Peter, the dry-witted Chinese owner and manager who speaks excellent English. He and his staff set the tone with regular 'events', including a great value weekly DIY seafood barbeque, make-your-own dumpling sessions (these are free), free wi-fi Internet and limited free use of the fixed computers. The rooms themselves are simple but clean and can be cleaned whenever you ask. Charismatic old 'Chef' whips up simple breakfasts and other meals, which are eaten in the communal area that doubles as Sanya's best place to meet other travellers. The location is handy, being near to the beach, transport, bars and cheap food - Peter will direct you to one and all. All up, despite not being the absolute cheapest place in town, for most budget travellers it's the first choice.

If you take a taxi from the Coach Bus Station to hostel,it will cost you 10RMB.(about 3Km) If you take a taxi from Airport to hostel,it will cost you 50RMB. (about 25Km you must bargain with the taxi driver) If you can not find us, please call us.. If you take No.202 bus from Sanya center or Bus Station,please get off at Summer Mall stop. Walking back 40 meters , the HaiYun Road is on your left hand.Go along the HaiYun Road 60meter

At the time of research the Rainbow Bar and the Sky Bar were the hip traveller hang-outs. Handily, both are within a short crawl of Blue Sky. Once you've recovered from that hangover (or to aid the recovery?), grab one of Peter's body boards and head to the beach about five minutes away. For dinner, get thee to the Number One Market in Sanya for fantastic seafood street food.
