Lonely Planet Review
From the outside, this Roman Catholic Church-run lodge has an unfortunate resemblance to an old block of flats, but don't be deceived. Inside you'll find some pleasingly modern and roomy chambers decked out in rich burgundy tones complete with a couple of funky chairs, all of which represents a great budget deal.
All the rooms at Caritas Bianchi Lodge are in good condition and come with a small fridge and private bathroom. Ask for one at the back of the building with windows looking out on the greenery of King's Park; these have reasonable views and are the quietest rooms in the house. That said, there are few disturbances here beyond the odd loquacious church group. There's a good-value restaurant up on the 6th floor that budgeteers might want to check out. Staff here are quietly efficient and can usually arrange baggage storage for day-trippers or those departing Hong Kong late in the day.
