Windsurf Paradise is located smack on one of the world's best wind-sport beaches. It has all the amenities athletic-types could ask for - good rooms, great location and easy access to sports equipment. The pool and deck, both overlooking the pretty sands, don't hurt one bit either.

One of the best choices in El Yaque is this modern and pleasant miniresort, located right on the beach. All of its 64 rooms are comfortable and attractive and have hammocks outside, though the standard ones are smaller and located in less-private areas. Superior rooms have higher ceilings and their own terraces with views, and some are next to the pool. There's a restaurant with a great deck overlooking the beach and the relaxing pool area comes with wood and stone walkways. Tropical plants and palms dot the grounds. The resort also sports its own wind/kite-surfing centre. Prices rise from November to March.
