Lonely Planet Review

Quotes Chillout's colourful cafe is the only hangout spot for the hostel, but it's atmospheric and very welcoming. There's a great music selection (mostly electronic dance), Keith-Haring-inspired Chillout cartoons on the wall, nocturnal lifestylers slouched in the corner recovering from the night before, and a sleek black cat. It's also a great place to pick up the pace in the evenings as one of the cheapest places for grog around. The hostel has a variety of rooms and doubles with and without en suites. The squishy dorms will suffice if you don't plan on spending too much time in them. Ditto the communal bathrooms: they're so small you can shower, go to the loo and preen yourself all at the same time! This is the type of place where people come for a few days and end up staying for weeks.

How To Get There

From the Sabiha Gökcen airport: Take the Havas bus to taksim square, from there take the big, main street: Istiklal. Walk for about 20 minutes until you pass galatasaray square and Odakule, find the Dutch Consulate on the left and walk to the street across the cons.: Balyoz Street. You will see the hostel at left. From the Atatürk airport: You can use the havas bus, too. follow the directions like above; or: take the Metro, this brings you to Aksaray. From there you can take the bus to taksim, jump off next to Tepebasi, walk to Yenisehir Palas(Hotel), the side street which brings you to Istiklal is called Balyoz street and there you are... With Taxi from Aksaray to our hostel will cost about 5-10 Lira. You have to tell the cab driver, that you want to go to Tepebasi-Beyoglu, next to Pera Palas, Yenisehir Palas and The Marmara Tepebasi. By train: You will arrive in Haydarpasa or Sirkeci train station, go to Karaköy, take the tunnel tram (the second oldest and shortest metro in the world) and walk on Istiklal street to the Dutch Consulate. Then follow directions as above. For more information, please contact us directly.

taksim meydanından tünele doğru uzayınca, sırayla galatasaray, odakuleyi geçince, solda hollanda konsolunu görünce sağdaki ilk sokağa girince solda turuncu tuhaf eski bina.

Author Tip

Babylon, Bar Bahçe, Roxy, Godet, 2C: just some of the clubs a few steps from your doorstep here. And what better place to start the night than party central: the heaving Nevizade Sokak, the most atmospheric eating strip in the city.
