No doubt Ibrahim Pasa would have given the nod to this mod Ottoman renovation borrowing his name. This très chic guesthouse successfully combines Ottoman style with contemporary decor. Well located and stylish indeed.

To the right of the entrance is the inviting library with chocolate leather couch and open fireplace - the perfect place to hole up in winter. The rooms in this stylish retreat have judiciously placed quality rugs and antiques but mainly contemporary decor: leather couches, flat-screen TVs, muted warm lighting. Given the many plusses of this place it's a shame about the rooftop, where the staircase steals the best views. However it's still a pleasant spot to enjoy views of the small domes over the Museum of Turkish & Islamic Arts, and, if you get the seating position just right, the Blue Mosque. A fabulous option, though not necessarily value-for-money: rooms are verging on being overpriced. Tsk tsk.
