Lonely Planet Review
Pilgrims Guest House is a well-run budget place. Don't just take it from us; it's a favourite of many repeat or long-stay visitors, who should know what they are talking about. The leafy outdoor garden restaurant and bar is the first thing to seduce in this secluded, well-managed place in northern Thamel.
It's a very sociable space to swap tales with other travellers in an ideal location on the northern edge of Thamel. And it's only a short walk from all the restaurants and CD shops but also with easy access to taxis or buses on nearby Leknath Marg. Another advantage is the wide range of rooms, that can deal with most budgets and combinations of people, from top-floor doubles with a sofa and balcony, to the cheapest singles, which are little more than a box. All in all, a good budget hangout.
