Set in a lush garden full of gigantic fan palms, this curiously named place is slick and modern, with the full range of tropical beach facilities. Rooms get more luxurious and more exotic the more you spend but all come with an impressive range of in-room freebies.

A well grown-in tropical garden adds character at this big modern place at the south end of Hat Chaweng. Giant fan palms tower overhead and the well-equipped and comfortable cottages are divided by shady avenues of tropical trees. Rooms vary in character and it's worth paying a little more for one of the luxurious deluxe rooms with natural wood interiors. At the top end, the beachfront villas come with private outdoor jacuzzis. Down on the sand is a wavy, amoeba-shaped pool with jacuzzis, a swish beachfront restaurant and bar and a pristine strip of whispering sand. However, it's not really a party place; most visitors are older couples and families.
