Lonely Planet Review

Quotes Just west of Puduraya Bus Station, the AnCasa is a smart international-standard hotel. All rooms feature in-house movies, satellite TV, small fridge, coffee/tea-making facilities, and in-room safe; you also receive a complementary newspaper.

If you feel like a bit of a splurge, but still want enough money to eat the following day, then AnCasa's a sound choice. It has the hallmarks of a big player - spacious golden entrance, bell-boys running hither and thither - but without the budget-busting price tag. There is, however, a golden 'no durian' sign - very classy. The hotel's bright, sandy-toned rooms have good views over the city, and come with enough gadgetry to make a lazy day inside very tempting. It's a shame there's no pool, but for 20.00 you can sink into the open-air jacuzzi on level two, surrounded by palms and perfumed by the scent of sandalwood wafting from the massage rooms next door. A brasserie, cafe and restaurant are at your service, and Chinatown is just round the corner.
