Lonely Planet Review
This tightly packed hostel is right opposite Puduraya Bus Station, which is convenient. It has a fine rooftop beer garden where evening movies are shown. It's also connected to a good Indian banana-leaf restaurant.
If you're straight off a 12-hour bus trip you could do worse than stumbling from the station and into a bed at this high-rise hostel. Yes, it's on a high-decibel street, but the green-walled rooms, pink-walled corridors and blue-tiled floors are soundproof. There are even a few rooms with windows to the rear (no garden view, but it's quiet). Also, the shared showers are clean and constantly hot. The place is a bit of a maze, but there is a spacious rooftop area where beers are sold and DVDs are screened (it's also nice just to gaze at the city lights). Anuja's reception area is heavy on the CCTVs, so we figure security is tight here. Guests get cheap deals at the already cheap and popular banana-leaf restaurant downstairs.

Around the corner are three more good and cheap Indian restaurants, including Sri Ganesha. Just beyond them, you can say a prayer at the Court Hill Ganesh Temple
