Lonely Planet Review

Quotes A history lesson awaits when you check in at Bintang Warisan: all of Malaysia's state flags and plaques are festooned across the walls, just below the upper-level colonial-style window shutters. It's a nod to this hotel's pre-independence heritage. Of course the upper floors of this 10-storey building are newer, but there are some thoughtful colonial touches throughout the place, and the design of the 97 rooms is subdued, with wide beds, wooden chairs and soft lighting (a nice change from the street outside). Children under 12 can stay here for free, there are discounts for groups and longer stays, and there's a charming coffee house at street level, so you can fuel up in the quiet interior before hitting the shops.
