Lonely Planet Review
This pleasant hotel, off Jl Masjid India, is starting to show its near-decade of service, but remains a well-run and friendly place to stay. Ask for promotional rates.
There's a bit of bonsai elegance at Garden City Hotel: chandeliers are low enough to touch and comfy wicker chairs crowd the ground floor cafe. Although clean and comfortable, some of the hotel's 74 rooms are slightly smudgy around the walls, and the TV/radio consoles are not exactly state of the art (they're more Soviet State). That said, Garden City is run by an army of green-clad staff who keep linen crisp and don't keep requests waiting. Many rooms look on to trees lining the busy street and there's a rooftop garden with a view to the KL skyline, so it isn't Garden City by name only. The aforementioned cafe serves all meals as well as high tea on occasions.

How To Get There
The fastest way to get from the airport KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) which is 70KM away from the city is, via KLIA Express (RM35 apprx US$10) to the central station. The ride is only 28 mintues. Then take a taxi (from the coupon counter) to Masjid India (RM10 apprx US$2.50).
We are unable to provide hotel pick up anymore due to new rulings at the airport.
A taxi from the airport to our hotel costs RM92 (approx US$25).
You can also take the Airport coach (RM10 approx US$2.50) to the KL Sentral Station the same place the KLIA Express will take you but it is 1 Hour 15 mintues ride with no traffic and then a taxi from there.
