The snazzy high-rise Nova offers great value for a hotel in an excellent position (overlooking the Jl Alor hawker stalls), tucked away off the busy Bukit Bintang. All rooms have cable, ESPN and bathrooms. The complementary breakfast is, however, rather unspectacular.
Nova blends into its surroundings like a princess blends in at a bottle shop, but that's not such a bad thing. When Jl Alor reaches its cacophonic heights, it's nice to retreat to a place so close to the action yet so serene. Beyond the spiral-shaped lobby lounge is Nova's smartly dressed staff, who will supply you with your electronic key and, later, a complementary newspaper. Blue carpet clashes somewhat with the hotel's red trim, but rooms are done up in more muted tones and come with an IDD-ready phone and megachannel TV. There's a simple cafe (Casanova) that offers very simple meals, but when one of KL's most exciting dining strips is just beyond the front door...
