Lonely Planet Review
This could be yet another carbon-copy backpackers, but it's saved by a nice communal dining and lounging area, as well as some colourful touches to both place and proprietor.
Oh we're so vain, we probably think the name is about us. But let's leave ego at the door. Speaking of which: this place must have one of the scungiest entrances on the peninsula. Thankfully it all changes when you enter the lobby, which is sweetly decorated with hanging rattan weavings, and houses a cheery dining area complete with fruit juice facilities. The management is welcoming and helpful (one of the workers has enough piercings to set off airport security at 50 paces). The windowless rooms are well ventilated and all rooms and amenities are crispy clean, but why do so many places insist on paint jobs that would better suit a regional hospital? All traveller's wants and needs (Internet, left luggage service, book exchange) are at your fingertips.
