Like the Gran Hotel Bolivar in central Lima, the Ariosto is an undeniably historic, if extremely eccentric place to lay your head. With just over 100 rooms, it's small enough to feel quite personable. While the exterior of the building may look downtrodden, inside it's full of good cheer and nostalgia. All of the carpeted rooms may look laughably retro, but they do have cable TV, telephones, in-room safes and minibars. Internet access and other office services are available in the hotel's business center. The well-trained staff also make 24hr medical services available to guests, and prices include a buffet breakfast, valet parking and free airport shuttles.
