Lonely Planet Review

Quotes This top-quality, five-star hotel garners rave reviews for its impeccable service and accommodations that have almost all the luxury you would expect for the price tag. Best of all, no other Miraflores hotel can claim to be as primely positioned as this one.

Part of an upscale chain of Peruvian-owned hotels, this glittering high-rise stands out from the crowd. Few hotels in Lima get praised as consistently in reviews as this one. Staying here puts you in the middle of the action, with dozens of restaurants and shops practically right outside the door. While the superior rooms are on the small side, the junior suites are oversized. All have a dash of European style, as well as air-con, telephones, cable TV, in-room safes, minibars and private bathrooms with soaking tubs. Some rooms are darkish and thin-walled, however, though there is a rooftop pool terrace to escape to. With multi-lingual staff and a full-service business centre, almost anything can be arranged, whether you're travelling for work or leisure.

Author Tip

Miraflores' busiest thoroughfare, Avenida José Larco, is just around the corner from the hotel. Walk north past dozens of boutiques, restaurants and cafés north to the main roundabout. Continue a few blocks farther north onto Avenida Petit Thouars, where at the Mercado del Indios dozens of vendors sell kitsch, artisan crafts and fine art from all over Peru.
