Lonely Planet Review
Sitting just across from the Plaza Mayor, here you'll find stylish decor and charming original elements of the 150-year-old building - it's super value and far better than you'd expect from a two-star hotel. The bathrooms throughout the hotel are modern and marble-lined and each comes with a bathtub. The buffet breakfast is also a great way to start the day.
There's a lot to like about this place, from the pretty facade and super central location to the extremely friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are attractive, although those with a light colour scheme and wrought-iron furniture are better. Of the normal rooms, the best are those on the building's corner (there's one on each floor) which have three windows and plaza views. Even better are the attics, where the furnishings are almost minimalist in style (dark wood and designer lamps) and have lovely little terraces with wonderful rooftop views of central Madrid. The bathrooms throughout the hotel are modern and marble-lined and each comes with a bathtub. The buffet breakfast is also a great way to start the day.
