Lonely Planet Review
Brothers Eric and Olivier have achieved what others have failed to: an affordable, fun place to stay in the medina. This is a fantastic place for couples. It's bright, breezy, colourful and the riad (town house) is stuffed full of info about things to do in and around Marrakesh.
OK, it's out on a bit of a limb in this corner of town, but it's accessible by car and it's easy to thumb down a petit taxi. Still, it's worth it if you're looking for a bit more spark and activity than the average 'serene' riad experience. The six rooms are all modish without being overly styled; simple white sheets and colourful accents in carpets and cushions do the trick. With its big French windows, views over the plunge pool and romantically canopied bed, Safa is the best of the bedrooms, although they are all very easy on the eye. As is the neat flowery terrace with its canopied dining table where dinner is served on summer nights. In the foyer you'll find loads of leaflets and information on all the fashionable country clubs, restaurants and hammams (bathhouses), or just ask Eric and Olivier, who speak English, Spanish and French.
