Lonely Planet Review
The best of several beachside hotels at the north end of Juhu Beach, the Holiday Inn is a classic 1970s style beach hotel with a beachside pool and a patio full of whispering palms. The building is slightly dated, but rooms have huge beds, sea views and wi-fi Internet access.
Although the Holiday Inn is firmly top end, it has a friendly, old-fashioned feel - you can easily imagine Bollywood stars in Hawaiian shirts and medallions partying around the pool in the 1970s. Though the styling is rather lost in time, facilities are excellent, with a patio restaurant, bar, fitness centre, coffee-shop, and of course, that beachfront, palm-shaded pool. Rooms have giant beds and sea views. The hotel is conveniently situated for the attractions of north Mumbai and the domestic and international airports. You can eat on-site or head to south Juhu for top-notch Italian food.

Author Tip
Wake up and head straight for the pool or take a beachfront stroll before breakfast - head north for the ISKCON Hare Krishna temple or south to sample bhelpuri (Mumbai-style salad) at the south end of Juhu Beach. In the evening, pay a visit to the Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai's leading Hindi and English-language theatre.
