A good value cheapie near the train station, the Railway Hotel was once much grander considering the decor in the corridors. Rooms are basic but still quite appealing - you get plenty of floor space, a reasonable-sized TV, a fridge, a hot shower and air-con, and the peace of mind of knowing that the station is so close. Although the location is its big selling point, the staff are also friendly and accommodating. There's an on-site restaurant serving Indian meals and the whole of Mumbai is at your fingers tips via taxi or train.
