View of Marine Drive from the Hotel

Lonely Planet Review

Quotes This unpretentious seafront hotel shares the building and views with the almost identical Sea Green South Hotel next door. It's an good choice for budget travellers, with big, clean rooms and sea views that won't eat up too much of your travel money.

Like the neighbouring Sea Green South Hotel, this is a fine budget choice. The views are some of the cheapest on the strip and the sea-green building (hence the name) contains a variety of tidy, functional rooms with TVs, phones, fridges and air-con. All are cavernous and airy and you can easily squeeze extra people into the doubles (handy if you're travelling in a group). The style is simple and homely and the location is perfect - right in the middle of Marine Drive and just around the corner from the restaurants and coffee shops on Veer Nariman Rd. The hotel is also a short walk from Churchgate suburban train station for trips to north Mumbai. However, the traffic on Marine Drive may wake you early in the morning.

Author Tip

With the coffee-shops and restaurants of Veer Nariman Rd just around the corner, you probably won't loiter in your room for long. It's a short walk to Fort, Chowpatty or Nariman Point and an even shorter taxi ride to Colaba. The seawall opposite the hotel is a fine place to watch the sunset.
