The best of three cheap hotels in a tall building near Colaba waterfront, Sea Shore has good harbour views and rooms that catch the occasional sea breeze. Guests share three clean bathrooms and the hotel is staffed by an enthusiastic team of Gameboy players.Budget accommodation is thin on the ground in Mumbai, so the Sea Shore Hotel is a welcome find. As the highest of the three budget hotels in this building, it has the best views - you can see a panoramic sweep of the harbour from the front-facing double rooms - and two of the sea-view doubles rooms come with optional air-con. Rooms are strung out along a single corridor with three shared bathrooms - you have a choice of pokey singles and much nicer doubles with ceiling fans and fitted beds. It's worth paying a little extra for a room with a window. The hotel staff are a jolly bunch and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal.
