Lonely Planet Review

Quotes Fresh, frescoed rooms have sleek bathrooms with opaque glass basins and stylin' extras like heavy, professional chrome Wigo hairdryers. Up a full-size lift, one room, number 12, is wheelchair accessible. Upstairs there's an expansive outdoor terrace with white-plastic sun lounges and some rather unfortunate fake grass. Further upstairs is a fully contained penthouse apartment with its own kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, and two terraces of its own, one 30sqm, and the other a whopping 90sqm. Lightly shaded, spotless terracotta tiles line the hallways so seamlessly that you'll need to watch out for near-invisible steps, especially as you enter some rooms or get out of the lift.

Author Tip

Around Nice, Hôtel La Petite Sirène is best known for its specialist cocktail bar, which is open 24 hours if you're staying here, and from 08:00 to 23:00 for non-guests. Happy hour's from 17:00 to 19:00 Tuesday to Sunday, when cocktails are half-price; and it also has wines from the region and small entrees and snacks.
