This well-run establishment is barely a kilometre (0.6mi) inland from the Kata Beach, and enjoys a breezy plot of land at the foot of the hillside. The location is quiet and relaxing, just far enough from the centre of town to keep things tranquil, yet an easy walk both to restaurants and the beach.

The 25 pastel-coloured rooms are bright and clean and some have a view of the forest-clad hillside. A cosy pool and Jacuzzi out back are very well maintained, while the intimate layout is conducive to meeting the other guests - or limits privacy, depending on your outlook. A common lounge area features a pool table and there's also a gym with weight training equipment. A herbal sauna rounds out the offerings here. Staff is helpful and there is an in-house tour agency at which day trips around the island can be booked. A free shuttle also provides rides to the beach.
