The Hotel Vilamar is set on a quiet street in Copacabana. Here you'll find pleasant rooms that are excellent value for money, and although it's not right on the beach, it's just a short stroll to the shoreline.
Set in a trim modern building this 15-story hotel has inviting rooms with pressed wood floors and big windows affording lots of natural light. Recessed lighting and a neat overall appearance complement the trim look. Some of the bathrooms have bathtubs (room numbers ending in one, three or four), and all have a clean modern design. You'll also find a rooftop pool (though the view is over Rio rooftops rather than beachfront), a sauna and a workout room.

If rain clouds ruin the day at the beach, catch a movie at the Roxy Cinema (Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana 945), which shows a mix of Brazilian and foreign films (including the latest Hollywood releases).
