Lonely Planet Review

Quotes Rooms within the lime-green clapboard units are swish without being fussy. All have air-con and floors fashioned from Honduran wood; some have huge king-size beds. Outside, the resort's thatched bar overlooking a saltwater infinity pool and the sea, is something of a watering hole for locals and visitors alike. If staring at the ocean waters gets the better of you and you need to take a dip, you're in a good place - steps climb straight down from the resort into the reef below. Snorkeling gear is on hand, or you can get paddling or pedaling with the resorts' kayaks and bikes. Finding the walk to the West End restaurants a drag? Don't bother - simply whack on the grill and make your own burger or hot dog. Ideally positioned on the westward-facing shore, the resort boasts ocean sunsets every day of the year.

Author Tip

You could easily stick around here all day, either idling the time away at the bar contemplating your next cocktail, or lounging in the infinity pool. However, it would be rude not to climb down the steps at some point armed with your snorkel and mask, to take in the spectacular marine life just at the foot of the iron reef upon which the resort is built.
